Synopsis
Moeller (history, Princeton) brings her experience as a photojournalist to bear on her study of war photography in the five major American wars of the century. She identifies the factors that shape the images: the moral position of the photographer, the official censorship of the media; government propaganda needs; technological advances in weaponry and camera equipment.
