What we collect

• Account info - your username, email address, and password, stored hashed.
• Log data - the movies, TV shows, books, games, and board games you track, plus ratings, tags, and notes you choose to add.
• Usage data - basic request logs such as IP address, timestamps, and endpoints, retained for up to 30 days for debugging and security.

What we do not collect

We do not sell your data. We do not run ads. We do not track you across other websites or apps.

How we use your data

• To operate the app: authenticate you, store your logs, and generate recommendations.
• To show your activity to friends you have connected with, limited to what you choose to log.
• To send transactional emails, such as welcome, verification, and password reset messages. No marketing emails.

Third-party services

• TMDB - movie and TV metadata. Your queries are sent to their API.
• IGDB - video game metadata.
• Google Books - book metadata.
• Google Sign-In - optional. If you use it, Google's privacy policy applies to that authentication flow.
• Apple Sign-In - optional. If you use it, Apple's privacy policy applies to that authentication flow.

Data retention

Your account and log data is kept until you delete your account. You can delete your account at any time from the app: Profile, Account, Delete Account, or request deletion from the Account Deletion page. Deletion is permanent and removes your account data from our systems within 30 days.

Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Our database is not publicly accessible.

Children

Loggit is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
