Synopsis

1914 is an introductory wargame about the first 5 months of World War One. It deals with the initial mobile phase of the war, The German offensive in Belgium and France, part of the modified Schlieffen Plan, the Race to the sea... not the trench war. Victory points are scored by capturing enemy cities / fortresses as well as troops Casus Belli 21 contains the 1st map covering part of Germany, Belgium, Luxemburg, North of France - Northern map Casus Belli 22 contains the 2nd map covering south of the Marne, Lorraine, Alsace - Southern map The game was included in the French magazines Casus Belli (Issue 21 - Aug 1984) and Casus Belli (Issue 22 - Oct 1984). Scale: 1 hex = 15km 1 counter = 1 Army for infantry - 1 division for cavalry 6 turns for the short scenarii (on N or S map) 25 turns for the full campaign on both maps
