Battle Chronicle: The Retreat from Moscow is a narrative skirmish wargame set during the catastrophic 1812 retreat from French invasion of Russia. But this is not a game of grand tactics or glittering battlefield manoeuvres. Each model represents a single soldier—wounded, exhausted, and fighting not just the enemy, but starvation, frostbite, and collapsing morale. Designed for 28mm miniatures (but easily adaptable to other scales), this cooperative tabletop experience puts players in control of a small band of French survivors while Russian forces are driven by an intuitive automated system.
